It's been a while since my last release; sorry for those who were expecting a drawing WEEKS ago! As many know, I've been busy over the summer with babysitting, battling illness, and lining up reporters for the upcoming NHL season (art wise, duh). HOWEVER, the NHL's currently going through a lockout and I won't be working on many portraits for their organization until negociations are met. It's actually sad because I was looking forward to this season...I was suppose to have a potential auction over in Vancouver with some Canucks portraits, get my Derek Roy and Jaromir Jagr portraits signed...including TJ Oshie...draw Steven Stamkos for a Tampa writer...oh, and the list just goes on! It's devastating! I'm praying the season won't go extinct for the year like it did in 2004...I don't want to remember it!
Meantime, I've been looking around for other reporters around the AHL and WHL; with luck I have found reporters who are currently negotiating some temporary work...thank goodness! Que won't starve this winter! LOOOOL!
I've never starved...trust me, I'm paid well!Anyhow, I'm pretty happy with this piece! I got to try out my new Samsung 7 Chronos (and I'll admit I'm not too happy with the monitor) - there are probably A FEW nit-picky errors, and I'll be blunt about it...I don't want to hear your complaints. I tried my damnest on a matted screen, believe me...oh, and if you guys need some friendly proof that I drew this without layers, you can always view a previous livestream I did days ago:
[link] Yea...ignore the music lol I realize a lot of people don't like lounge beats, but OMG haha taking a second to thank Paulo Arruda...you are MAGNIFICENT! And trust me guys, I don't go out my way to praise just anyone, but his collection(s) are utmost superb...totally recommend his stuff if you need music to jam to while working.
And how does all of this relate to Mr. Kane I have no idea...sorry Patrick, I didn't give you the limelight! Don't kill me for drawing your "I just won the cup! HUR HUR" face...ok?

Actually, right now I'm diverting from sports art
and drawing a photo-quality portrait of a bird
for an upcoming book.

endangered birds, too.
next two weeks if all possible. I believe the deadline
is June 15th, they need all the drawings before July
to file them in the book. I'll keep everyone posted
until the date of release. ^^ (But I do have other
portraits to work on, so it's better to finish the
bird asap)

working progress, another thing I'll keep my watchers
